Sadly this is what you will have to live with for the priveledge of owning your lovely Mylo.

Cutting his hair will not make him stop shedding hair at all, but just means that the hair will be shorter and slightly less noticeable when it gets on clothes etc.

Keeping him well groomed every day will relieve him of excess coat and keep down the amount cast around your home and bathing him when he moults around now will also remove/loosen his winter coat which you can groom away.

Hope this helps or do what l do, if l wear black to go out l get ready after saying goodbye to my dogs so they don't come near me before l leave home and keeps my clothes clean till l get back. lt's worth the effort to enjoy having my dogs.

Brush him every morning with a "rake" style brush that gets the loose fur from down near his skin, not a surface brush that just brushes the outer layer of fur.

Talk to your vet. If you brush him a lot with the proper brush and he is still shedding like crazy, he could have allergies and something as simple as a Benadryl could solve your problem.

Good luck.

Talk to his vet. Most long-haired breeds don't shed like that. He may be malnourished or ill. If not, there's no real way to stop shedding. Its a perfectly aggravating part of owning a dog. Our whole house is always covered in hair, and we've learned to wear lighter colors to hide the hair of out yellow lab =)

There really is no cure. I mean I have a Spaniel and he sheds like no other. We brush him and vacuum everyday. Sweep you tile, laminate, and wood floors once a day also. give him a shorter hair cut not bald just a trim. Invest in a good lint brush (like the red ones) they work wonders. Make sure you clean under your refrigerator at least once a month, hair get sucked under there and it might make it quit working. Buy clothes to blend in with the hair. Your dog wont change so you have to, it's like an unwritten rule. Stinks for us though doesn't it?

Best of luck!

well, my dog sheds terribly as well. And it's because she has allergies. There's really nothing we can do about it either. No amount of brushing helps... I hope this isn't what's causeing your dog to shed... does he chew his paws or scratch his "armpits" or face and ears a lot? These can be signs of allergies as well. With our dog, I just stopped buying black clothing... there was really no other sollution because allergies are the cause... good luck though!
