my dog has started to get bald patches and going scabby under her armpits , she is also starting to lose hair on her belly, she hasnt got fleas though, so can anyone please help,

It sounds like what they call mange. My dog had similar symptoms and that's what the vet told me she had. Good luck!

It sounds very much like mange. My dog was getting treatment for mange when I first got her, and she was looking much the same as you describe.

It could be alergies or hot spots, ask your vet he will give you spray for the areas, but to me it sounds like hot spots, my puppy had the same thing! there skin gets irritated from heat rash and they itch it.

Hi there, I might well be wrong but, this sounds like either eczema or mange or even possibly an allergic reaction to something. Take your dog to the vets they will give you a good answer.

Sounds like seasonal hair loss and will be replaced rapidly in a few weeks time. My Labrador had this and the Vet sent samples away only to find nothing wrong except it cost me over a hundred pounds.

She either has scabies, or has an alergic skin condition, or possible mange. Whatever the problem clearly she's not normal so your first course of action should be to go see your vet.

it sounds like mange!

but when i got my most recent cav, she did exactly the same and she was pretty bald.. poor thing!

we took her to the vet and they basically said that you know the bugs that grow on OUR eyelashes n body n stuff? well she had an overload of them... maybe because she was the runt and a bit ill. they treated her with a special bath n it went away luckily!

take her to the vet in case.. mange n the condition i talked about can be very annoying for you and your dog and can get alot worse.

Is she scratching/biting herself alot? There's loads more parasites a dog can get other then fleas. Take her to the vet to be checked over.

It sounds like fox mange which can be passed on to humans - take to vet asap...

sounds like mange or some form of skin desease use benzyl benzote from the chemist use like calomine lotion. if its not mange it will not hurt the dog anyway. if that does not work use a shampoo called polytar its used for people with flaky scalp non of the above will harm the dog as they are used on humans. hope this helps!!

He may be allergic to something. Or it could be mites which you wouldn't see. Take him to the vet, he can give you cream and tell you what's up.
