My dog is a pekingese mix and she is having bathroom/grooming problems.

Everytime she poops some of it will stay in her fur. So I have to give her baths almost everyday.That or my mom will cut it out of her fur.We get her groomed everytime her fur gets longer,but they never cut her hair back there so she can use the bathroom without it getting stuck.She likes to sleep in the bed by me, but she smells even after its gone.

So what can I do to make sure it doesnt get caught in her fur?

when you go to the groomer - tell the groomer you want her/him to shave to bottom. It's called a sani cut!

She will love it!

This is funny...after mine get the sani cut...when they go out to play my female will stick her hinny up like she is enjoying the cool breeze on her bottom. She only does this the first day after the groomers.

Buy a clipper and get her used to having her butt shaved. Ask the groomer to do it.

I would recommend having her hair regularly trimmed in that area to help from getting it caught back there.. If you take her to groomers regularly, have them trim back there, or you can trim it yourself.. That's what I do with my dog.. I have a Rough Collie, and her hair gets very long.. But she gets trimmed in certain areas regularly to keep from getting knots and matted..

Get her groomed more often and get the groomer to give her a "brazilian" :)

Either shave around her butt, so it doesn't get stuck, or ask the groomer to do so. It's really the only way to keep that area clean.

You need to specifically tell your groomer that she needs to be cut (her hair) really short in the buttock region and explain the issue. You閳ユ獧e paying the groomer, therefore you have the right and need to make any modifications 閳ユause I am sure that this is not comfortable for him/her.

Keep their fur trimmed around her rear end. It will cut down on the mess and matting and also reduces the risk of impacted anal glands.
