Well first of all, my dog is only 6 months old, and his is a chihuahua. he's gotten a little thinner,he still eats, but not as much as he used to. his hair is also turning white. are these signs of stress? (he's a black and brown chihuahua puppy)

Could be but best to ask a vet. My moms cat gets stressed when too much is going on and she over grooms herself to the point that she gets bald patches. Could also be just that he is changing colors. We had a Chihuahua that was a beautiful blue when she was younger and now she is 9 months old and she has slowly changed color se is now a pale tan. Some Chihuahuas are thinner looking than others. As long as he maintains a healthy weght I would not be overly concerned. They will thin out a little as they get older, they much like kids lose their baby "fat". If you are still worried call your vet.

Do you have reason to believe that things are stressing him out?
His hair could be changing because he's getting older.
There could be medical problems for him not eating as much as he used to.
