I have a furry medium size dog, who gets ticks once in a while, I noticed a tick above my ear when washing my hair, and it is embedded into my scalp, and I need to figure out the best way to get rid of it.

You must burn it off with a hot object, like a cigarette. The tick will fall off. If you pull it off the head with pincers still embeddid into the skin will stay behind and cause infection. Don't burn yourself now! Good luck!

Use a product called Quickstart. Put it on( it will paralyze the tick so it will let go) Then use the tweazers. Then put the tick in a pop bottle and throw it out. DONT use anything that will burn you!!!
