A breeder told me that for people with allergies, having a short haired chuchuaa for some unknown reason relieves the allergy symptoms. I have some kind of pollen, tree, dust allergies going on now. I am wondering if anyone who has these types of allergies has a chuchuaa, and has it helped? Has anyone heard this before now?

I've heard of certain breeds being easier to tolerate if you're allergic to dogs but never of a certain breed of dog helping with other types of allergies. That just doesn't make sense to me.

I think you understood that wrong. There are some breeds of dogs that people are less allergic to. That's probably what the breeder meant...that if you have allergies a Chihuahua was a good breed to get...not get a Chihuahua to relieve your allergies.
