Dog breeds?

ok my dog, i got her when my granny died, but i don't know breed she is, she looks like a Papillon, except she has shorter hair and she doesn't have "butterfly ears" is there such thing as a mix Papillon and Chihuahua?

Yes there is hybrid like that. But your dog almost can't be that mix because they have medium hairs, longer hair, and most in the pictures I just googled had some what of the butterfly ears. maybe just a Chihuahua mix. Go to http://www.dogster.com/search_advanced.p... and there you can mix two different breeds and see if people have that type of dog and that way u can find out what your dog is thats how I found out what mine is

Of course.. there CAN be a mix of most any breeds. (I would hate to see the Irish Wolfhound Chihuahua mix though)

Today there are many mix dog breed. Some breeders call them "designer dogs", which breeders purposefully breed to obtain a new breed, such as the Morkie...a mix of a Yorkie and a Maltese or the Pugle a pug and beagle. In the end does it really matter what she is as long as you love her.

You can get mixed anything these days. People will breed their dogs just to make money instead of trying to improve the breed, therefore all the 'mixed' breeds. Your dog could be a long haired Chihuahua from the description. They look a lot like a Pappillon.
