Hair falling out?

Okay, so I have a 10 month old Maltese puppy.

So this morning I scratched her head and I notice that hair came out. So then to test it I gently pull some hair and it comes out.

Now you see the problem is Daisy doesn't even touch her dry dog food. My mother feeds her 3 small bowls of beef stew a DAY. (Beef, potato, and carrots)

My mother tells me to feed her and if I refuse by telling my mother it's bad for her my mother yells at me and does it herself.

She also fed her a peice of apple and a grape which I told my mom not to but, she did.

Is her hair falling out because of bad nutrition?

Can some one give me a article I can print out and show my mother about how feeding our puppy is bad.

Thanks.

Hair falling out?

Your Mother is not feeding your dog right. and RASINS are poisonous to animals!

Tell your mother that you need to feed your pet correctly.

Look up your dogs breed online and find the correct foods for that breed.

If she is loosing hair, especially when you're just basically touching her, she has more problems than just a food thing. She needs to be seen by a vet.

Speaking from EXPERIENCE, Our last dog started loosing hair, we took her to the vet and he couldn't find a reason. There were many tests to be run, but we couldn't afford them. She eventually lost ALL her hair and within a matter of about 6 months Died. Please take care of this before you go through the same heartache we did. We still miss our Chow.

Hair falling out?

I heard it was because of bad nutrition but read this article, it may give you some more insight.

Hair falling out?

She does need proper nutrition. And also, grapes are toxic to dogs. Please tell her not to feed her grapes. She has likely developed some type of allergy and needs to be fed properly. Please read this page:

There is also a great link there to an article you can print out for your mom.

Good luck!
