I have had an allergy test some a few years ago and found out I am allergic to cats! My husband and I recently got a dog that is half sheppard half rott and he does have a shedding problem! Since he has been here in our home I have had clogging in my nose, a feeling as if something was in my throat! Is it really possible to all of a sudden be allergic to something that you have been around before? I have had other pets but all have been short hair dogs!

Yes, allergies can "just develop". And they can disappear too.

just make sure to keep the hair away from your face and you should be fine
