Can a Terrier Dog be a outside dog?

right now my puppy is only 3 months old. obviously im not going to put him outside right now, but perhaps when hes older. I have him indoors right now, and i might keep him indoors to when he grows, but if he is an outside dog then ill leave him outside. (i live in canada so the temperature here can be pretty insane like -50 degres celcius).. he has pretty thick hair to.

don't make your dog live outdoors. dogs are pack animals and need to be around people and socialize. you can let your dog outside for a few hours each day (10am-4pm) but he should be inside with you to sleep and socialize during the evening.

i dont think that any dog should be considered an outside dog, maybe for like a couple hours, but if you live in canada im sure you see all of the freezing animals in winter... i live here too

No dog should be left outside at severerly cold temperatures. It's just not good for them. I'm not trying to be rude, but if you don't want a pet inside with you, then maybe you should find a home for him that will allow him to come in from the cold.

-50! wow thats cold! ive never seen below 20 degreese here in ga! ...sorry that wasnt about your ?....yes i think you puppy will be ok outside just make sure you pup has a dog house to get in and maybe a little blanket to lay on for them cold nights!...and maybe so the bottom of the dog house isnt so cold you could put one of them little throw rugs in it!

Can a Terrier Dog be a outside dog?

No, Terriers are NOT outdoor breeds. Terriers have short hair.

Keep him inside.

that type of dog is not tempered for those conditions I think you should learn a little more about that breed and caring for that dog. Thats you responsibility. my lab is a ice water dog and I don't keep her out very long in under 20 degrees.

good luck.

I've had terriers in Texas and kept them outside with a good doghouse, but I'm afraid Canada would be too cold for any dog to live outside.

Can a Terrier Dog be a outside dog?

My terrier is 7months and his coat is so short he shivers when he's waiting in the garden at the door, so no. He isn't happy when its cold unless he's running about, I'm not even sure he'd survive outside at night in the winter.

Can a Terrier Dog be a outside dog?

yeah he can go outside.

just not right now.

hes still a pup.

Can a Terrier Dog be a outside dog?

Ya it should be ok

I Think It Will Be Okay Outside When It Gets Older. Just Make Sure it Has A Warm Place To Stay When It Gets Cold
