Dogs feel different. It is a compliment to them when we pet their hair, it makes them feel good. On the other hand, if somebody comes up to us and starts saying who's a good girl/boy??, and pets you, it's a little creepy.

geez. dogs are covered in fur you cant really not touch them without touching their hair, but is that when they get excited or when they see your about to give them attention most dogs i know get excited soon as they smell you coming long before they see you let alone feel you. oh im sorry but i like attention but im just not covered in hair and i love my head rubbed have my girl run her fingers through my hair...
