Lab? Golden? Perfectly natural, for either of those breeds, and i'm sure, countless others. Get a good vaccuum and a few lint rollers. Be more careful with the food.

Hi,

My first piece of advice is to take her the vet to make sure she's healthy (Doggies can also have things like anemia and bacterial skin infections that might cause this) Also, she might have very dry skin. You say she is outside. Do you bathe her often? if so, make sure you're using a Very mild shampoo made especially for dogs.

And finally, what kind of brush are you using? Dogs have what's called an undercoat, which is where most of that hair can come from. I would also suggest that you explain your situation at your local pet store and ask them to recommend a brush made specifically for your dogs issue.

Good luck!

Cocker Spaniels are bad shedders. They shed all year and a lot. If your pooch is long haired like the cocker then I would suggest to cut it. We give my cocker a buzz every spring. If she has shed like this ever since you got her then this is my suggestion. if not, then you need to check with your vet to make sure theres no allergies going on with her, or something else.
